Today i actually left the house (though i should mention it was against my will). I accompanied The Boyf to a mall so he could install a proxy server (whatever that means?) at a store there.
Under normal circumstances i would have been prancing happily around the shops looking for new summer clothes but not today....you see, unfortunately today just happens to be my poorest day of the month (AKA - the day before pay day) and I dont shop on credit.
For all the above reasons - I had no choice but to window shop.....grrrrrr
All i can say with complete certainty is that window shopping sucks!!!!
Honestly, I started to feel a bit sorry for myself and I swear even the mannequins seemed to giving me strange, sad (possibly judging) looks.
while "pretend shopping" I saw some really stunning dresses. One was so beautiful I steamed up the glass with all my heavy breathing ;)
I can assure you that after pay day i will be indulging in some serious retail therapy to clear my head of the all the bad window shopping memories..heehee

What a great blog you've got here! I laughed and laughed at the "sad (possibly judging) looks" comment. Very funny indeed.
ReplyDeleteThe window shopping, however, is decidedly *not* funny. You're right, it does suck. :(
Hooray for pay day! :)
I agree. I won't even go "shopping" if I can't get/buy something. It's torture. And it never fails that I see a MILLION things I want/love that are usually on sale, too. So it's a total kick in the balls. (well, ladyballs, whatev.) You have my sympathies. Oh, and it's the day before payday for me, too. I have 16 cents. lol!!!
ReplyDeleteWe're having a severe market meltdown here in the USA. BIG credit crunch and they're worried our economy and financial system are starting to implode. Has that affected S.A. at all?
ReplyDeleteI have a little something for you on my blog. :-)
ReplyDeleteI actually strangely enjoy window shopping almost as much as the real thing (not quite). I enjoy browsing and looking. But if you really want something and can't get it, then it sucks!
ReplyDelete@ Moe - yes, we're feeling the pinch in SA too!!!
Dive on a diet - Thanks...it may sound funny but i swear they were -annoying mannequins ;)
ReplyDeleteMrs D - I know , i Knnooowwww...its horrible. I saw planty of things i would have loved to buy.
Moe - Yes, it has affected the whole world I think, but obviously America is the most directly affected. I heard on the radio this morning that America is in some serious trouble and its going to take an insane amount of money to bail them out.
Mrs D - THANK YOU
Kitty - i dont mind looking either as long as I can buy if i have to - otherwise its torture.
ReplyDeleteWell.. A proxy server is a ... (oops i should stop the g33k talk now)..
ReplyDeleteWell today is pay day and u can always go back :D
I'm just the opposite! I love window shopping - just as long as I don't actually have to go in and buy anything and stand in front of those awful mirrors and actually try things on.
ReplyDeleteRetail therapy is my idea of hell.
Chocolate therapy is my idea of heaven.
PS: that's not you in the pic is it?
ReplyDeletewell, go get that dress, lady!
ReplyDeleteI hate windowshopping,too.
Killa - I shall
ReplyDeleteLady fi - I am a BIG fan of chocolate therapy too.
Kitty - Nope, but I looked as crazy as she does, just brunette
Sunny - heehee i plan too.
