You may be right, I may be crazy

My last poll asked the question: "What does Brazen most struggle to control?"

The right answer to this question is: OCD, my emotions and an over active imagination (yes, I struggle to control all 3). To me all three are usually linked - -Example: My over active imagination causes me to think that somehow I have left the iron on - even though I never used it - then my OCD tells me I must go back home and check. when i get back home and find the iron is off my emotions cause me to get mad at myself for being so silly and doubting myself.

Occassionally I do also struggle to control junk food cravings and a mild case of shopping addiction (but thats only because sometimes I can't control the voices in my head) *chuckles*

I think all people have a little crazy or quirky in them - its just that some people are better at hiding it than others.

What crazy habits, addictions or quirks do you struggle to control?

  2. I struggle not to cry when I watch a wedding/funeral on TV at the movies read it in a book. Always have done. It's very strange... Anything too happy or sad. I cry at Gossip Girl and Desperate Housewives, does that make me crazy?

  3. All the bad things,I struggle to resist, the only thing I'm good at resisting is alcohol. The rest, not so good at.You name it,smoking, eating too much, watching too much tv,wasting money, etc. You name the deadly sin,and I'm probably addicted to it.

  5. I agree with Penny. Mostly it's I can't resist things that are bad for me. Well, mostly smoking and eating as I don't really drink.

Other than that I'm really hard on myself and can't stop putting myself down.

    *sigh*

  7. Well now that I've knocked the shopping addiction on the head (seriously, I'm cured! Haven't bought anything since December and I'm going strong till next December!) I should probably start working on the social smoking and drinking. But I don't want to. I like it, it makes me happy. See? Uncontrolled!

  8. Thank GOD I'm not the only one. I constantly have to talk my way out of things because I talked my way into them! Before I was on the pill, I talked myself into the fact that I was pregnant almost every month! it was rediculous! and I'd get so mad at myself.

  9. I don't have too many crazy habits - an inability to sleep with the door open (I can just about handle a window provided I'm not at ground level)... crying in almost all movies I watch...

  10. Well for now I have to talk myself out of being so in love with someone since my husband passed away 7 years ago.Seriously,LOL having a bit of a problem with that.Circumstances beyond our control have left me like this.So you know im still learning at over 40, LOL other than that lets see,I think it would be ice cream struggling not to buy it.My weight is perfect now.So needless to say I love ice cream and have to resist until maybe 6 months passes and then get some again.haah!

  12. I have to try very hard to keep my temper in check. Little things set me off... to the dread of my boyfriend!

  13. I struggle with my emotions the most. I come from a long line of overy emotional people. They are also all drinkers, and I am not, so maybe that helps?

  14. Seriously, anxiety disorder and a bad couple of bouts of depression in my younger teens. I've always been a very emotional person and also have quite the time getting out of my own head.

Less seriously, an addiction to right angles, chocolate, impulse buying, and a budding addiction to How I Met Your Mother. :)

  16. I don't think we have time for me to list my crazy quirks, habits or additions. :-) :-)

I'd have to say my biggest addiction is TV. If I'm home, my couch and TV call to me. It's unnerving. :-) :-)

  17. How about this one. . .

Earlier today I straightened the house before leaving thinking. . . "If I get robbed, I wouldn't want him to think I was a slob. . . "

What kind of crazy is THAT??? Does it even have a name????

  19. I check the locks on my door a billion times. I check it even if I just unlocked it (to go outside), to see if it actually IS unlocked. And multiple times at night to make sure it's locked, even if I know I just locked it.
