Gossip Girl Season 3 has finally started! I'm infatuated with Blair and Chuck all over again (just had to mention that). >
A few days ago I purchased a rather inexpensive, black, sequined tank top. The front is totally covered in sequins, the back is just black. Now usually I would shy away from things covered in sequins, as I have always found them a little too "vegas showgirl" for my liking, but I thought it might be fun to try wearing more glitzy and glam clothes to parties/dinners. I think pairing the top with heels and jeans should work well.

Tomorrow, as some of you know, is a public holiday here in South Africa. Its Heritage Day and National Braai Day. So, I am off to go and enjoy a braai (aka barbecue). I doubt I will post tomorrow as I will probably be too busy eating meat, making salad and going for rides on The Boyfs bike.

I bought a black dress with some sequins about a year ago and normally I am not a fan. But I have to say that was a fantastic buy - so I think it really just depends!
Sequins do ad a "glam" factor. Yes, your top with some jeans and heels will surely make you the belle of the ball, er, braai.

i used to think i couldn't do a bit of glam.but i'm now trying it a bit and love it! LOVe sequins but still looking a cute and cheap one!have a nice long weekend!x
I think sequins can be glam depending on if you pair them with relatively neutral and not-so-flashy pants/skirt and other accessories. A little goes a long way.

I found that sequins are itchy and catch on things. I didn't know that until last Christmas when mom gave me a sequined vest.
I have to wonder how performers put up with them?
I'm soooo very very in love with Blair and Chuck! That scene at the end of Season 2 was the best scene on televsion EVER!

Definitely not a sequin fan. They looove sequins in the UK though. I bet you could pull them off.
Sequins are fantastic! Nothing wrong with a little showgirl sometimes. Just try not to get carried away and go head to toe sequins! Enjoy your day off, very jealous!
