Going back to planet perky

Yesterday I was being held captive by a gang of moody emotions and today they seem to be trying to tie me up again....

I guess the reason I am feeling this way is due to a few things, namely: poor me syndrome (aka PMS) , the circling ninja flu germs (they keep threatening but are thankfully keeping their distance), lack of exercise and a small case of the work dull drums.

Since this is not an ideal way to feel and it is making me rather annoying to be near, I have resolved to fight off the moody emotions gang and go back to "planet perky" asap......

Here are a few things that always help to perk me up:
1. rambling and writing (sometimes at the same time)
2. a nice cup of strong tea (aka liquid calm)
3. reading or buying a good book (escapism)
4. Doing some form of exercise (oh, happy endorphins)
5. Big hugs from The Boyf (squeezes out the moodiness)
6. A long, warm shower (clean & pretty smelling= happiness)
7. Eating chocolate (the often tried and tested method *winks*)
8. A happy cheesy song (like "Foot Loose" by Kenny Loggins)

When you feel moody or down what perks you up?

There is nothing like a cheesy tune to brighten my day, and once I've found the right one for the occasion, I will play it on repeat until my happiness levels are restored

Hehe, I love that you call it 'Poor Me Syndrome'... that so appropriate...! Sounds like you are doing fine, I'm sure that just writing and blogging about how you are feeling will make you feel better :).
Well, yoga definitely is my therapy, its actually forcing myself to go that's the hard part. :)

I'm with you on the moody feeling today, I'm wishing some cake would miraculously appear, I'm sure that would fix everything!;)

WOw so it WASN'T just me yesterday! And they tried to tie me up this morning (see my bloggity blog – haha sorry shameless self promotion) but I fought them back with pretty much EVERYTHING you just mentioned. Nothing like a cup of tea either...think I'll go make one now

whenever i feel like that (or sick as i'm feeling now) i like to watch a musical to get me feeling better. I might put on Footloose tonight. Thanks for the inspiration. Otherwise try a cupcake or a cream doughnut.

Fool-proof happiness - playing with my squirmy, smiley, constantly enthusiastic puppy! works every time! Chocolate (Woolies malted puff Chuckles) comes a close 2nd.

A lovely hot bath is my happy place, and cup cakes of course. Hope you're feeling better.

A white chocolate mocha, chocolate cupcakes, margaritas with my best girl, or running usually helps to perk me up. Oh, and cute shoes :)

Your mood of yesterday seems to have landed on me today! Music, chocolate and lots of affection from my man - without questioning the reason for my mood and trying to solve it- that's what I need to break the doldrums!
