10 things I learnt this weekend

1. I really like super wide leg casual pants
2. An afternoon nap can save the day (& your sanity)
3. The "V" TV series (the remake) is pretty cool.
4. People should try not to discipline their kids in public
5. "Water for Elephants" by Sara Gruen is such a good book. I am almost half way through  and finding it very hard to put down.
6. Gas heaters are awesome, but freak me out a bit
7. It is possible for me to play checkers as well as The Boyf
8. Helping my mom sort out her clothes is very time consuming, but a great way to get some new clothes for myself ;)
9. Mick Jagger was very wise when he said - "It’s all right letting yourself go, as long as you can get yourself back."
10. Never under estimate the power of enthusiasm

What did you learn this weekend?

  2. The disciplining in public is sometimes necessary because the time you get home and then speak or discipline your child about what he/she have done wrong, your child have forgotten what he/she did especially when they are little.
Agree on the afternoon nap thing - life saving indeed

  4. Superficial girl - you must . Its good.

Blackhuff - Good point. Well, I dont have kids so I dont know alot about disciplining little kids, but i really dont like it when i see parents smack their kid in public. I think if you have to discipline them dont make a spectacle of it. If that makes sense.

  7. Yeah, disciplining in public is often necessary - spanking in public is not ever necessary. imo.

I have all the seasons of V on my seagate media player but have yet to watch them; glad you enjoying it! I watched one Dexter this weekend and hated it.

Gas heater scared the whatzit outta me. Gas ANYTHING scares the whatzit outta me.

  11. I never could get into afternoon naps. Ditto about my mother's clothing. She's a formidable woman who stands @ 6 foot 3 inches. My 5 foot 7 frame could never slip into her shoes (literally as her feet are 2 sizes larger than mine). ;)
Glad you had a wonderful weekend!

  12. Oooh a siesta would be my best hour of the day!

    I learnt:
1.That you cant make everyone happy in one weekend, you wont see everyone who wants to see you.
    2. Study groups are the best things about studying, they help a lot.
    3. I cant keep myself motivated for more than an hour at a time.
