8. Compete in a tv game show - i.e. Idols or Who wants to be a Millionaire

9. Attend Burning Man in America, Woodstock in England and the Carnivale in Rio de Janeiro.

5. Walking Dead is very good for a zombie- filled TV series
6. Getting out of the house before 12pm on the weekend takes alot of effort for me

On my bucket list... by Dimi

Dimi Ingle is the founder and editor of StyleScoop – the fabulous daily blog for women. Dimi has been blogging for three years on all things fabulous via her blog. Today she will be sharing a few things from her bucket list. Enjoy...
1. Own my ultimate dream car - My dream car has always been a Porsche 911 Turbo. Over the years I’ve juggled between owning a black, red or white one, but for right now, I think a white one will do! :)

2. Go see Paris -  Can anything be more beautiful than this city? I could spend hours thinking about how I’d spend my days sipping café latté's at the corner bistro or go for a shopping spree. It’s also the romance capital of the world, thankfully I have a gorgeous hubby to share it with.

3. Walk a red carpet with Victoria Beckham - She’s my style icon and I love everything about her. Move over Katie Holmes!

4. Own Christian Louboutin Patent Leather Pigalle heels - ahhh, nothing sexier and nothing I covet more!

5. Have unlimited funds to turn my newly purchased home into a Spanish villa and decorate to my hearts’ content - We take ownership of our new place in a couple of months and the home decorating bug has certainly bitten.

Happy Weekend!

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”- Roald Dahl

It's a public holiday for Human Rights Day on Monday - So I'm looking forward to a lovely, lazy, long weekend filled with catch-ups and fun stuff (yippee!). Hope you all have a good Friday and an absolutely glorious weekend x

A modern barn home

White sneakers freak me out

Today I got a box delivered to me and inside were these WHITE Feiyue shoes. Now, don't get me wrong, they are cute sneakers and they are super duper comfy (seriously, you must try a pair) - But they are white and its freaking me out.

Ok, maybe I should explain..... I've never owned a pair of white sneakers by choice before. Something in my mind has always told me that most white shoes, especially white sneakers,  are to be avoided like the plague (dear white shoe lovers: please dont give me judge-y looks).

White sneakers make me think of hospital nurses, old people bowling, preppy people who go on yachts alot & wear their sweaters around their shoulders, Hip Hop artists and dirt ( I mean how on earth can I be expected to keep a pair of white sneakers clean? tell me please) - now seperately those things are not so scary, but when I see white sneakers my mind merges all those things together (not a pretty picture, huh)

Anyway, after alot of soul searching and some shots of tequila ... I have decided to try to conquer my fear of white sneakers and wear these out (which will be alot cheaper than therapy). Maybe its high time I knew what all the white sneaker wearers out there know - even if thats just the fact that white sneakers are not white for very long  ;)

Do you like white sneakers or do they freak you out too?

On my bucket list... by Bailey

Bailey Schneider is a bubbly radio presenter, TV presenter, voice over artist, emcee and blogger at Vanilla Blonde. She is addicted to vanilla tea, Toblerone, shoes and her Blackberry. She is currently writing a crime thriller novel and lives in Jo'burg, South Africa. Today she will be sharing a few things from her bucket list. Enjoy...
1. I want to travel as much as I can - and one of the places I have to visit is New York city. Hell, I’d love to live there, but if I just get to visit I’ll be happy. I can picture it now: I want to have a take away cup of Star bucks coffee and stand in the middle of Times Square as it buzzes around me. A close second would be drinking champagne and eating a parma ham baguette in Paris.

2. I’d love to sky dive – ironically I’m petrified of heights and recently did the terrifying Internal Swing at the Orlando Towers for the Top Billing Presenter Search. Somehow sky diving seems better than bungee jumping… there isn’t any logic here, but hey!

3. I want to fall head over heels in love that lasts a life time - I want to feel those butterflies, I want to lie awake thinking about his smile and this time I want to feel completely appreciated and know that we’ll grow old together.

4. I want to publish my novel – it’s a crime thriller. I have been writing it on and off and I’m half way there - 48 000 words to be exact.

5. I want to fly all my girlfriends to a tropical island and treat them to massages and Pina coladas.

6. Learn to speak another language - I’m of Swiss decent and very sorry I never learnt Swiss German.

7. I want to have a gorgeous walk-in wardrobe full of Jimmy Choos and Christian Louboutins.

8. I want to build my dream home and have the most beautiful garden - complete with fairy lights around the trees,  where I can sit and write or read

9. Host a successful TV show – step aside Guiliana Rancic ;-)

10. Fit into “those” jeans again -  I have the most beautiful pair of skinny jeans – they honestly look like they were made for me, but um…well…yes… Damn cupcakes. Sigh.

5. I cannot eat bacon unless its crispy
6. Taking vitamins daily makes a big difference to my energy levels
7. Every now and then it's perfectly ok to turn your phone off for the whole day
8. Playing squash is awesome - it works so many of the muscles I need to work
9. When you see the devastating effects of a natural disaster and how how fragile the world can be, it really makes you realise just how very unimportant superficial things and petty problems are
10. Just because its not going my way doesn't mean its the wrong way

What have you learnt lately?

Dear Paris....

...I really want to visit you.

Happy Weekend!

"I want a life that sizzles and pops and makes me laugh out loud. And I don’t want to get to the end, or to tomorrow, even, and realize that my life is a collection of meetings and pop cans and errands and receipts and dirty dishes. I want to eat cold tangerines, and sing out loud in the car with the windows open, and wear pink shoes, and stay up all night laughing, and paint my walls the exact color of the sky right now.
I want to sleep hard on clean white sheets, and throw parties, and eat ripe tomatoes, and read books so good they make me jump up and down." -Shauna Niequist (Writer)

Have a stunning Friday and a happy weekend.

On my bucket list... by Annika

Today the lovely, Cape Town based blogger Annika (from Any's Road ) will be sharing a few things from her bucket list - Enjoy...
1. Have dinner with The Bonds - Have too much whiskey with Sean Connery and then sleep with Daniel Craig. Afterwards I will make up my mind which of them I prefer as James Bond.

2. Pat a giraffe - I love giraffes. They are my favourite!

3. Have a house and decorate an entire huge wall with Vivienne Westwood floral wallpaper -  Actually no, I love my little loft. I just wish it had a wall suitable for wallpaper like this.

4. Learn how to open a bottle of sparkling water without drenching myself from head to toe.

5. Finally finish The Alexandria Quartet -  I think its ideas are stunning, but I haven’t managed to get further than page 54.

6. Do the Bikram’s Teacher Training.

7. Own the original Ross Bleckner painting ‘Falling Birds’.

8. Star in a movie, be nominated for an Academy Award and wear something like a Jil Sander dress on the red carpet -  The fashion police will hate it and mock me for it, but visionaries all around the world will adore me.

I want... a jewellery armoire

The other day I stumbled across the above picture and all I could think was "Why have I never had one of these awesome little jewellery organiser closets in my life?"

I have 4 jewellery boxes already and since my collection keeps growing, I will need another one soon. Honestly, I think a jewellery armoire would really solve my issue and help me organise my jewellery so much better.

I have not seen any in Cape Town before, but I'm sure I could get someone to make me one.

So, how much do you want one of these now?

blah blah's, the mountain and kismet friends

Hello Darlings,  how are you all doing? Currently I'm super perky and rather busy... In the last 3 weeks I've been to some weddings, bought an irresponsible amount of clothes (me and my credit card are currently not speaking), finally caught up on my sleep (remember THIS post), have become addicted to food (more so than usual), have been  trying to get started on my plan to take over the world (though i'm more pinky, than the brain) and have been trying to keep my blog interesting.

Oh, and I actually found some time to conquer my fear of heights and went up Table Mountain for the first time ever (since I'm a born and bred capetonian this is rather embarrassing to admit). I wont lie, the steep  ride up to the top - in a cable car that rotates - was pretty scary,  but once I reached the top it was awesome. I took the above photo from the top with my phone's camera.

In other random news: last week I met two lovely british ladies both named Georgie (how strange is that?). I instantly liked them and just felt like I had known them for ages - Sadly they had to go back to UK. Hmmm.. It's strange actually, most of the very good friends I have made in my life I have felt an almost instant connection with (like a kismet vibe) - Do you get that feeling too when you meet someone for the first time and just know you could be bestest friends?

Note: I have a poll up on the moment (on the right). Answers appreciated.

Happy Weekend!

"Life, i really believe, is about falling in love. With ideas, with stories, with experiences, mistakes, adventures, poetry, imaginations, old books, new books, movies, music, and, of course, people. Everything that is worthwhile in this world is worth falling in love with, and I can’t imagine a better way to live one’s life than to be always head over heels." - unknown
